Ryan Glenn has spent 22 years plastering, the last 10 of them self-employed under RGP. That matters for a simple reason: the person who walks through your door to price the work is the same person who sheets your floors, mixes the plaster and sets the finish. Nothing is passed to a squad you have never met, and no standard slips between the quote and the job.
The customers are homeowners and landlords, mainly in Glasgow and the towns around it: people mid-renovation, people who have just pulled a chimney breast out, people whose ceiling has come down after a leak, and people getting a property straight before it goes on the market. Most jobs are one room to a full house, which is exactly the size of work a one-man operation does best.
The specialism is interior plastering and decorative finishing: skimming and re-skimming, dry lining and dot and dab, ceiling repairs, coving and cornice work, Artex covering and removal, overboarding, patch repairs and full house refurbishments. It is internal plaster work only: no rendering or external finishes.

Walls and ceilings are checked with a light held along the surface before the final trowel pass, because that is where hollows and trowel lines show. You should be able to hang a mirror or run a straight edge without finding a dip.
Left ready to decorate
Waste is bagged and taken away, floors swept, and you get straight advice on drying times and mist coats so the decoration does not lift the finish you have just paid for.
