What Ryan Does
Interior plastering, done to afinish you would accept at home
Domestic work is the priority: single rooms, full house and flat refurbishments, and the awkward patch repairs other trades would rather not touch. Every job gets the same preparation, the same care over detail and the same clean-up at the end.
Most enquiries are for plastering in Glasgow, skimming and re-skimming walls and ceiling repairs, closely followed by dry lining and plasterboarding and coving installation. See the full list of plastering services or browse recent plastering jobs across Glasgow.

Why Homeowners Choose RGP
You deal with the tradesmanwho does the work
Ryan Glenn has been plastering for around 22 years, roughly 10 of those working for himself. There are no subcontractors, no rotating crews and no salesman in between. The person who quotes your job is the person standing in your hallway with a trowel, which is exactly why the standard never slips.
Plastering is the layer everything else sits on. Get it wrong and every light fitting, every angle and every coat of paint shows it. Get it right and the room simply looks finished. That is the difference a genuine eye for fine detail makes, and it is the reason so much of this work comes from repeat customers and recommendations.

“Ryan was a very professional worker, the job was completed when he said it would be and it was an excellent finish. Can not recommend him highly enough.”
“Excellent. Kept in touch by text, turned up as arranged and completed job to a high standard. Highly recommend.”
“Ryan was extremely professional, dealt quickly with the job and worked around my availability. He plastered a large room and ceiling with a range of surfaces and produced a very high quality finish. He also did some outdoor render for me and fixed some cornices. Competitively priced. He worked long shifts to get it done well. Would recommend Ryan to anyone. Great job!”
“I was very impressed with all three tradesmen who quoted and in the end decided to go with the middle price. Ryan was prompt and worked non-stop to get the job done. He was also adaptable. We have family coming to stay this weekend and he fitted us in before this which was excellent. Job is very nice and tidy, and price was very reasonable. Would recommend.”
“Recently got some of our walls plastered with Ryan who is a really reliable and friendly tradesman. Work was complete to a high standard and any follow up queries handled with good communication throughout. Would highly recommend to others.”
“Ryan is an exceptional tradesman. Responded quickly, gave a competitive quote and started almost immediately. Carried out exactly and efficiently what I wanted to a high standard. Left no mess behind, couldn't ask for anything more. Highly recommend Ryan.”
The Guarantee
Plaster that stays whereit was put
Every job carries a 1 to 2 year workmanship guarantee. If the plaster blisters, blows, debonds or comes away from the wall because of how it was applied, Ryan comes back and puts it right. No arguing, no invoice.
Being straight about the limits matters just as much. The guarantee does not cover structural movement in the building, cosmetic settlement cracks, shrinkage, or damp caused by ventilation and drying habits in the home. Overboarding onto an existing unstable ceiling cannot be guaranteed either, because nobody can control what the structure behind it does. You will be told this before the work starts, not after.
Covered
- Adhesion issues
- Blistering
- Debonding (“blown” plaster)
- Plaster falling off the wall
Not covered
- - Structural movement
- - Cosmetic settlement cracks
- - Shrinkage
- - Damp from ventilation or drying habits
- - Overboarding onto unstable ceilings

Common Questions
The things people askbefore they book
How quickly can I get a quote?
Quotes are free and, in most cases, turned around the same day. Send the details of the job and Ryan will come back to you personally with a straight answer on price and timings.
How are jobs priced?
Smaller jobs are priced per job at a fixed price, so you know exactly where you stand before anything starts. Larger projects are usually priced on a day rate, because scope varies from house to house. There are no 'from' prices on this site, every job is different and a guess helps nobody.
Are you insured?
Yes. RGP Ryan Glenn Plastering carries £1 million public liability public liability cover.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes: a 1 to 2 year workmanship guarantee covering adhesion issues, blistering, debonding and plaster coming away from the wall. It does not cover structural movement, cosmetic settlement cracks, shrinkage, or damp caused by ventilation and drying habits. Overboarding onto existing unstable ceilings cannot be guaranteed, because of the risk of movement behind it.
How much mess does plastering make?
Less than most people expect. Floors and fittings are sheeted before anything starts, waste is bagged as work progresses, and the space is swept and left clean at the end of each day. Customers mention the tidiness more than anything else in their reviews.
How long before I can decorate?
Fresh plaster needs to dry out fully before paint goes on, typically a few days to a couple of weeks depending on the room, the season and the ventilation. Ryan will tell you what to expect for your specific job and how to help it dry evenly.
Which areas do you cover?
Glasgow and the surrounding towns, including Paisley, Rutherglen, Bearsden, Clydebank, Bishopbriggs, Cambuslang, Renfrew, Newton Mearns. If you are just outside the list, ask, it is usually still possible.
